Hermes & Crocus. Exaggerated allegories
by Dimitri ROSS
Florence, Italy, 2022
As the story from the Greek mythology goes, Crocus, a beautiful young man, was a lover of Hermes, the messenger god. One day when lovers were doing some athletic exercises, Hermes has thrown a discus and hit Crocus in the head. Crocus dies and grief-stricken Hermes transforms his lover into a flower – a crocus flower.
