Male Figure Graphite Drawing, Clip On Framed Original Artwork
Male Figure Graphite Drawing, Clip On Framed Original Artwork
This is an original (no print) graphite drawing of a sitting male figure on white paper.
Depicted is a male figure in a sitting pose.
- Graphite on white paper (200gm), one side of the sheet is perforated (from the sketchbook spiral)
- Drawing Size 39 x 29 cm (15.4″ x 11.4″)
- Framed: A clip-on frame with plexiglass (the black MDF frame is not included)
- Ready to be shipped immediately from Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Signed on front in lower left-hand corner
This drawing was created on a 100% sustainable recycled paper. The paper sheet was a part of the sketch book and that's why it has a semi-perforated left edge which gives this artwork a unique character and appearance.
The paper sheet with the drawing can be effortlessly fitted into a commercial frame with or without a passe-partout.
With this new series of graphite drawings I want to show the relativity of straight lines.
Even thought there is not a single straight line in a human body, the drawings of male figure in this series are created by applying only straight lines.
All beautiful shapes of the human body are curved, fluid, when one shape extends the roundness of another shape. And still, in academic painting and drawing technique we do use straight lines to create rounded forms of the body.
This drawing is a clear example of the fact that there is nothing straight in the human body and in the male figure in particular. Artistically speaking.
